This is a nice watercolor of a sailing scene in front of a cityscape. This pretty little painting could have been painted in either Florida or Hawaii. This looks to have been painted by what would be called a "tourist artist" from the area. I would say this was done sometime in the 1950"s or 60"s by the look of the city. The scene was painted onto a fiber artist board. The close ups show the texture of the board and the translucence of the water colors. The frame measures 29" by 14" with the picture measuring approximately 24" by 9". The carboard backing and other causes have stained the matting and picture. That all can be reversed by a paper conservator.
